About InstaSaver

Last updated: April 9, 2026

InstaSaver is an independent web tool built to give everyday Instagram users a simple way to back up their own photos and videos. The project started in early 2026 when our small team realised how difficult Instagram makes it to save your own content once it is already posted — especially older Reels and Stories that quickly disappear from the feed.

We are not affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. in any way. InstaSaver is a community-built tool and we run it as a free service funded by light, non-intrusive advertising.

Who we are

InstaSaver is operated by a small editorial and engineering team based across Europe and Southeast Asia. Our background is in web performance and accessibility; we have collectively worked on consumer-facing products for more than eight years. Every guide on this site is reviewed by at least one editor who has personally tested the steps before publishing.

What we stand for

How InstaSaver makes money

InstaSaver is free to use. We cover hosting and development costs through display advertising served by reputable ad networks. We never sell personal data and we do not accept sponsored content that misrepresents our reviews.

Editorial standards

Every tutorial and comparison on the blog follows the same three-stage process: research the current Instagram UI, test the steps on both iPhone and Android where applicable, and have a second editor fact-check the result. If a step changes because Instagram updates its interface, we update the article and add a note at the top. You can see the last-updated date on every post.
